|September 16 2017, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM||2017 Motorcycle Races @ O'Keefe Ranch|
Flat Track BC began hosting flat track races in 2013 at Historic O’Keefe Ranch, located in Vernon, BC. That first summer, it was basically 8 friends who raced three times. It was fun so we kept doing it! Then, in 2015, Vancouver Flat Track Club began hosting flat track races at Pemberton Speedway and, a year later, Logan Lake Dirt Riders had their first race at Merritt Speedway. Now there are loads of friends from all over BC who have their hearts set on the growth of the sport in our fine province.
Each club runs their race day slightly different, but we are all aiming for the same thing: a stellar racing experience for riders and spectators alike, with classes to accommodate most anyone that comes through the gate (as long as their bike and gear meet safety requirements!).
Two tracks will play host to Flat Track Canada riders clinics this year. O’Keefe’s on June 21+22.
Gates and pits open - 9am
General Admission - $10 (16yrs and under are free when accompanied by an adult.)

Special thanks to Speedpro Signs for their partial sponsorship of this exhibit.
This is a very exciting time for arts and heritage in Vernon. The Museum is on the cusp of reaching out to the greater Vernon community to garner support for a new centralized, multifaceted cultural facility. This exhibit is just a preview of what your Museum of the near future can be, and some of the new ways we will be interacting with the community. It is about beginning a dialogue on how we can be a destination for everyone who lives and comes to Vernon, a place where you can come back often and stay for a while.
|September 16 2017, 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM||Johnny Popper Farm Tours @ Davison Orchards|
See for yourself how your food is grown!
Taking a ride through the farm on "Johnny Popper Train" is a fun, interactive way for you to experience our working farm.
Something new to discover in every season on the farm. The tour takes you by apple trees, plum trees and peach trees as well as tomatoes, peppers, corn, pumpkins and more. A traditional tour involves one stop where one of our farmers will show you the fields and the orchards and you can see, touch, smell (and sometimes even taste!) one of our in-season crops. The focus of the tour changes as the seasons do, but all year long our Farm Tours are a chance to have some fun while you learn the story behind your food.
Fun for all ages
Our tours have been designed with families in mind. Kids love to ride in the tractor drawn "train" made of apple bins. Parents appreciate the covered, padded seating and the fact that the kids and adults alike learn something new about their food and how it's grown.
Ticket Prices are $6 for adults (13 yrs and older), and $4 for children (2-12 yrs) and do not need to be reserved in advance - just come on up, buy a ticket, and enjoy your tour! We do recommend that groups reserve in advance to ensure enough seating is available on the tour.

|September 21 2017, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM||Hearing Trees with Saint Mountain @ Record City|
Hearing Trees (Winnipeg) comes to Vernon for the first time! Joined by Saint Mountain from Nelson.
Hearing Trees is anxious, edge-riding rock with a backdrop of colourful, image-inducing lyrics. Frontman Graham Hnatiuk’s immersive poetry grasps the gritty, dry edge of modern life, spinning it over the band’s layered soundscapes reminiscent of post-punk and Canadiana, producing “an elegant sound with rough edges, like a well-loved blanket” (Canadian Beats).
ST.MTN (Saint Mountain) are your mountain-town, home-brew, wannabe punks that can't seem to shake their indie-rock shackles. With songs mostly about unrequited love, drinking, and hacking darts (not necessarily in that order), the least you can say is that they're loud.
