Don't hire an agent unless they have these 5 things

Choosing the right real estate agent can make all the difference in your buying or selling experience.

According to research from ResiClub, a real estate research and data company, Here are the top 5 things you should look for in an agent:

šŸ‘‰Extensive Experience: You need an agent who has spent years refining their skills, becoming an expert in closing deals efficiently and effectively. Their experience will help navigate any challenge that comes your way.

šŸ“Local Market Knowledge: Your agent should have an in-depth understanding of local market trends and pricing. This expertise ensures they can accurately price homes and identify the best opportunities for you.

šŸ‘‹Broad Connections: A skilled agent will have extensive networks, including other agents, lenders, contractors, and potential buyers or sellers. These connections can open doors and expedite your buying or selling process.

āļøHigh Client Satisfaction: Look for an agent with a large base of repeat clients and numerous referrals. This steady stream of business indicates trust and satisfaction from previous clients.

šŸŽ„Exceptional Marketing: High-performing agents invest in advanced marketing tools and strategies. They use professional photography, staging, online marketing, and social media campaigns to showcase properties effectively. Their strong brand recognition will attract more potential buyers to your listing.

When choosing your real estate agent, consider these skillsā€”and when interviewing an agent, make sure to ask questions related to these. They can significantly impact your real estate journey, ensuring a smoother and more successful process.

???WHERE ARE THE STATS???

There's been a glitch! Sometimes things don't go as planned. The Association of Interior Realtors has asked us not to publish any stats until they get a data integration error fixed. We hope to have details for October real estate soon.

We can, however share this:

Home Sales Building Momentum Heading Into 2025

BCREA 2024 Fourth Quarter Housing Forecast

Vancouver, BC ā€“ November 6, 2024. The British Columbia Real Estate Association (BCREA) released its 2024 Fourth Quarter Housing Forecast today.

Multiple Listing ServiceĀ® (MLSĀ®) residential sales in BC are forecast to increase 2.6 per cent to 75,000 units this year. In 2025, MLSĀ® residential sales are forecast to strengthen further, rising 13 per cent to 84,500 units.

ā€œFollowing two pretty challenging years for sales, it looks like markets across BC are starting to build momentum,ā€ said BCREA Chief Economist Brendon Ogmundson. ā€œIn addition to lower mortgage rates, new policy changes allowing longer amortization for first-time homebuyers and increased mortgage insurance caps will provide a boost to market activity.ā€

Although new listings activity has been much stronger than last year, the accumulation of inventory in 2024 had much more to do with a prolonged slump in home sales. With active listings returning to more healthy levels across BC, we expect that the market will be able to absorb the coming rise in sales activity without a sharp increase in prices. Therefore, the average price in BC is projected to rise by a modest 3.3 per cent in 2025, following flat prices in 2024..
