Not all real estate sales occur by the same process.

As a former REALTOR®, I had lots of ideas, and preconceptions of how the sale of our home of 27 years would happen, but Patric from Chris Holm & Associates surpassed all of them!

We had lived and loved in our home in our own unique, colourful, vibrant and grounded ways. Raised our children and savoured the joys of grandparenthood. Extended Family dinners, pool, parties and celebrating the only Thursday in the week were common place. Were we ready to leave? Yes and no.

Our house needed a specific buyer. You see it had a great Kalview location in Coldstream, and a fantastic, unobstructed and permanent Kalamalka lake view, but, to be honest, it needed a total redo to bring it back to its potential of a stunning lakeview home. 

Patric approached us several times to show our property to buyers he was working with from January through mid March, when I finally relented to “ Brell, Puleeeeease, let me show your house.” It was no where near “showing ready” and in honesty - likely still would not be.

Turns out they liked it, and wanted more info… so we sent on details to him. 

Chris Holm & Associates did not market our home - or represent us in the sale. 

Patric did, however bring the buyer and presented an offer that we could say yes to. During the 3 month close window (yes… it was a blessing of time!) he helped connect us to people who helped us re-home “important, valuable stuff” that had been sitting around for years. He checked in on us to see how we were managing. He gave encouragement and feedback. He was “there for us.” 

A year ago today the sale of our home completed. What a year we have had. Thanks to Patric and Chris Holm & Associates, we are debt free. We live our days, daily without thinking about bills or home repairs. We are in our second summer in Cherryville, after our first winter in a long while in Mexico. We’ve bought a new to us Motorhome, and are planning our trip south.

We are living our “someday” Everyday thanks to Patric and the team at Chris Holm & Associates.

A great team to handle the sale of my home.

To my pleasure I found Chris Holm and Associates a great team to handle the sale of my home.  While I’d also talked with other Realtors, it was Chris who took the time and effort to show me how he planned to sell my property.  He went into great detail to explain how they price for the results I wanted, had a professional take photos and explained how they find buyers who were looking for the type of property I had to offer.  He provided great tips on preparing my home for sale.  Chris presented me with a comparative market analysis, prepared exclusively for me, that showed a summary of comparable listings of active and sold properties that helped me with the reality of what my home might be worth.  He explained the importance of pricing correctly to attract interest in my property.  Throughout the whole process Chris kept in close touch with me, keeping me updated on everything that happened, including finding contractors to attend to some minor repairs a Home Inspector had picked up on.  Two months later I was a happy seller and some lucky folks now have the home I had loved for so many years.

We bought a lot to build a vacation/retirement home on. We felt we had a fairly high level of understanding with limited local experience, and we knew we needed to work with a REALTOR®. Our perception expanded greatly as we moved towards reality - we didn't realize the potential complications with respect to buying raw land in BC. Brell helped to guide us around all of these details such as the soil testing - PERC test requirement.

We connected with Brell over the Internet. We appreciated her gentle, non-aggressive approach to representing us, and she was very respectful in case we were working with another realtor.
